Clinical Dietitian-Nutritionist
Emily Agathocleous completed her Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition at the University of Surrey in the UK in 2010. She continued her postgraduate studies in Clinical Dietetics (MSc Dietetics) – which she completed with honours – at Kings College London in 2012. During her studies, she completed her clinical practice for about a year at Guy’s and St’ Thomas hospital, one of the top teaching hospitals in the UK, where she practiced and gained experience in various clinical sectors.
Since February 2013, she works as a private registered dietitian at DietWise, offering personalized nutritional counseling and menu planning for weight management and health related diseases. She is an active member of the Cyprus Dietetic and Nutrition Association (CYDNA) and a member of the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) UK.
Emily worked as a part – time lecturer of Nutrition & Dietetics at The Limassol College from 2012 until 2016. She also offered her services to Apollon Football Team from 2012-2013 and has written articles about sports and nutrition at Apollon’s football club magazine. In 2015, she successfully completed the Low FODMAP diet course at King’s College London (currently the first FODMAP trained dietitian in Cyprus).
Up until recently she worked as a mentor of clinical dietetic practice at the European University Cyprus (EUC) and wrote articles about nutrition for Beautiful People Magazine, which was published on a weekly basis.
She is currently working on a part –time basis with the German Oncology Center in Limassol, offering nutritional advice to outpatients and inpatients. She often gives educational speeches to nursery, primary and secondary schools.
